Final conclusion to watching Dawn of The Seeker: it definitely has it’s WAIT WHAT moments where I just burst out laughing because it was so cheeseball. But it’s far more respectful to the original material than Redemption was and I… I sort of liked it?

I mean there is no explaining elf cellphones, chantry PA system or the tiny magical dragon killing dagger but the more you drink the more you don’t notice those parts. Or the more you forgive them. And the fact that Galyon mysteriously never has a staff but every other mage does.

More importantly, a warning: there’s a short, possibly rage triggering scene that makes no sense whatsoever as the only overweight person in the entire movie is a bumbling oaf with missing teeth, a jesteresque purple/green outfit, so stupid he can barely talk. It was pretty gross and way out of place when this was supposed to be a hermit on the mountain information giver. I mean really? Really? :(

Arlings and banns of Ferelden. I’ve tried to include the coat-of-arms where available - if anyone has more extracted from the games, could you please let me know? I don’t know how to take them from the games and I’d really like to add them.

(sorry the banns one is so plain, we hardly know anything about them. I’ve included Bann Loren because the quest marker ‘Bann Loren’s Lands’ is right next to River Dane).

*edit* I’m less sure about Ceorlic being bann of Lothering, but I know his land borders Gwaren and is in the Southern Bannorn, and that Lothering had a bann, so…maybe?

*edit edit* Regarding Arl Wulff, we know that he has sons (plural) but not how many. I stuck with the rule of it being at least two, so however many there are is up to you I guess.

*edit edit edit* Added Padric in the members of note section after being reminded of his existence by zimrathon (thanks bb). There’s some dispute whether Padric was Nathaniel’s grandfather or great-grandfather or etc etc but I decided to stick with the codex for now and note Padric, but not include in family tree. Probably also something to be taken with a grain of salt.

I love the art and the style and the costumes of this picture but I really resent the way the female characters are posed as opposed to the male characters. Fiona, PB and Marceline are all posed in ways to show off the arch in their backs, their hips and breasts (and Marceline’s thigh), and the Fire Prince is just sitting in profile while the Princess is facing the viewer with more demure expression turned to the viewer. In fact, the expression on all of their faces are a bit gender segregated too. Finn is facing the side and Fiona is facing the viewer, Prince Bubblegum and Marshal Lee are facing each other and it looks like they’re talking whereas Princess Fiona and Marecline aren’t even looking at each other (well, their breasts are) and it appears Princess Bublegum is even blushing for some reason?

This is really sad. The art is so amazing but it’s just really hard to appreciate it.

I usually don’t reblog stuff like this, but I really want to point out some shit. I’m not the best at typing my thoughts… so i’m gonna number off some things i guess… instead… I really don’t want anyone to resent this picture, i feel like maybe if i explain some stuff… you’ll resent it less? maybe? you don’t have to appreciate the drawing, but maybe you’ll find different reasons to resent it… other than the ones you listed…

1. a few of the dudes are ALSO arching their backs. one of the girls is not. the reason i kinda posed the girls like this was to attach visible bows to them, so i could put the ribbon trails everywhere. I could have probably posed the dudes in the same exact way, but that would make me feel lazy, and the drawing would be maybe kinda boring.

2. they’re not “showing off their breasts”. they just… kinda have them. i don’t know, should i have posed them like… back view or something?

3. I drew marceline’s leg because i wanted to show that her tights were the same ones from the henchman episode. also wanted to put more red in the composition with the boots.

4. your profile verses 3/4 face statement… i wanted fionna and cake to be looking at each other, i wanted finn to be looking away while jake was sneaking treats from gumball… I don’t really understand the problem with this… i’m probably just an idiot. I always feel a more “demure” look is when someone is facing away from the viewer, but who knows.

5. Gumball and Marshall Lee are interacting because gumball engineered up some red fruits (red lemons, red peaches, red bananas) for him to eat.

6. pb and marceline aren’t looking at each other because marceline is looking at fire princess who is looking at marcy’s ghost buds (who are blocking marceline from the firelight… but i guess that doesn’t make sense… can ghostly figures block out light? shit… shit!)

7. PB is blushing because whatever is in her beaker is emitting gas and that’s just kinda embarrassing

8. huh…. i guess their boobs are kinda pointing at each other… i didn’t notice that. you’ve got a dirty, dirty mind ;V

I don’t hate ladies. I mean, I AM a lady. kinda. I’m like… haha i’m eating pizza and typing and getting pizza sauce all over my keyboard… maybe i’m not even human

I really hate femminazis. YOU MADE A GIRL FACING 3/4 VIEW, YOU MUST HATE WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!

You’d think that if these people actually cared about women’s rights, they’d fight against actual discrimination, not fucking adventure time fanart.

I really, really hate people. (but this art is super rad, look at all that radness. rad.)

This is way, way beyond off topic, and I tried to let it just drop in my mind, but really dude? Pulling the feminazi card is bull. Leosboots listed her concerns pretty clearly, they’re pretty legitimate concerns when all piled together, and didn’t froth or say anything about the artist hating women. Is nobody allowed to talk to an artist unless it’s to gush over their work now? Man I practically have to beg to have people crit my work.

Ch 53

Anders can’t blame Fenris for pushing on into the night. It was evening already when they started their trek and Fenris likely wanted to be far from the city by the time morning came. But it was dark, and Anders had nearly lost his footing a number of times. He could barely see beyond the elf’s shoulders and the glint of his sword on his back, mostly trusting to Fenris’s sharper senses. But perhaps most fatiguing is the elf’s silence. Fenris doesn’t speak a word, and Anders decides to let him be. But that leaves him alone with a head full of nagging doubts as he turns over their earlier conversation in his head.
